Rehabilitated cadres undergo medical examination
Twenty six rehabilitated LTTE cadres participated in the first stage of the medical examination held in five districts to find out whether they have been injected with poisonous substances when they were rehabilitated.
The medical examination was organised by the Northern Province Health Ministry.
Among the 26 ex-cadres who participated, nine were from the Northern district, seven from Killinochchi district, seven from Mullaitivu district and three from the Vavuniya district. Ex-cadres from Mannar district did not participate.
The rehabilitated LTTE cadres have informed that former examiners were also present at the hospitals where the medical examinations were held.
The second stage of the Medical examination will be held today at the Killinochchi General Hospital, Mullaitivu General Hospital, Vavuniya General Hospital, Mannar General Hospital and Jaffna Teaching Hospital. (Daily News)
