British Intelligence not responsible for the fall of Mahinda Rajapaksa

The British High Commissioner John Rankin said, “The Reasons for the Change of Government in Sri Lanka and for the fall of Mahinda Rajapaksa neither British Intelligence Department, nor American Intelligence Department are Responsible.

The Actual responsibility for the change of government as well as for the defeat of Mahinda Rajapaksa lies with the people of Sri Lanka.

The Change of Government was made it possible only by the Sri Lankan People”.

The British High Commissioner Mr. John Rankin, while speaking in an event organized for Educational related program of Academic Event.

Under the newly formed government, the relationship between Britain and Sri Lanka is revived with closer bilateral relations and with many positive changes in the relationships between the two nations.

The British High Commissioner John Rankin categorically denied the allegations made by the media by accusing of the British Intelligence M-16 and the American Intelligence C.I.A for the responsibility of change of Government in Sri Lanka and for the fall of Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Government.

The British High Commissioner also said that the British Government is planning to establish two British Universities in Sri Lanka for the benefit of the Sri Lankans who are aspiring to study in the British Universities.

Accordingly, the Sri Lankan Students from these British Universities in Sri Lanka will be able to get their British Degree Titles after they complete their studies in Sri Lanka.
