TNA Invited to form the Government in the East
Ten members of the United People’s Freedom Alliance ( UPFA) who supported the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress invited the Tamil National Alliance to form the Government Administration in the East. They had announced that they have withdrawn the support to the SLMC.
The UPFA members had met TNA leader Mr. R. Sampanthan in Trincomalee on 02 March and held a discussion regarding it.
Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan,(Pillaiyan), Wimalaweera Dissanayake, W.H. Weerasinghe, Jayantha Wijesekera, D.M. Jayasena, M.S. Udummalebbe, M.L.M. Ameer, Pushpakumar, Priyantha Pathirana and Wasantha had participated in the meeting.
Mr. Sampanthan had said that he will consult the TNA members of the EPC and take appropriate action.
