Sampanthan.jpg 2Tamil National Alliance leader R. Sampanthan was quoted as saying to BBC Tamil Service that he was neither happy nor disappointed about the Human Rights Council’s decision to delay the UN report on Sri Lanka by six months.

He highlighted the Sri Lankan government’s announcement to conduct an internal domestic probe into the war crimes allegations and their request to postpone the presentation of the UN inquiry report.

He said this delay may enable to provide new information to the UN inquiry report. He also stressed the importance of cooperating with the UN Human Rights Council at this juncture.
