Japan to vote against US resolution?
Japanese embassy in Colombo announced that they will raise their concerns against the US resolution to be passing against SriLanka at the United Nation Human Rights Commission session in Geneva.
Japanese government noted if they pressures Lankan government on international investigations it will completely turn towards other friendly nations of Sri Lanka. Due to this situation Japan has decided to hold further discussions with the US government on the resolution.
The Japanese special envoy Yasushi Akashi is currently holding discussions with the US and UK representatives on the resolution against Sri Lanka at the UNHRC session in Geneva, Japanese embassy sources said.
