prince charles     The British High Commission in Colombo has denied reports that Prince Charles will inaugurate the new University of Central Lancashire campus during his upcoming visit to Colombo and the The British High Commission issued the following statement to clarify an inaccurate media report.

The British High Commission is aware of media reports that the His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales will inaugurate the new University of Central Lancashire campus during his upcoming visit to Colombo. The High Commission wishes to clarify that this is not, and nor has it been, a part of the Prince’s programme.

State media had reported that the Prince of Wales will lay the foundation stone for the branch campus of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) to be set up at the Mirigama Export Processing Zone in Sri Lanka with an investment of US $ 120 million.
