Japanese Minister to visit Sri Lanka
Japan’s Minister for Internal Affairs and Communications Yoshitaka Shindo is to visit Sri Lanka for talks with President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Shindo will be arriving in Sri Lanka on Sunday as a follow-up to the visit by President Mahinda Rajapaksa to Tokyo in March and the visit of Deputy Prime Minister of Japan and Parliamentary Senior Vice Minister of Finance Taro Aso in May this year, the Japanese Embassy in Colombo said.
During his visit Shindo will call on President Mahinda Rajapaksa to discuss bilateral relations with a view to further strengthening the long-standing ties between the two countries.
He will also pay courtesy calls on his counterpart Minister of Mass Media and Information Keheliya Rambukwella and Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa. (Colombo Gazette)
