Corinna Zarek, Senior Advisor for Open Government to the U.S. Chief Technology Officer at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy will deliver a lecture on “Right to Information-A responsibility for all” at Sri Lanka Press Institute Auditorium in Colombo on Tuesday at 3:00 pm.
Zareke works with U.S. agencies to develop and implement open government initiatives, including work with the global Open Government Partnership, and coordinates outreach with non-governmental stakeholders.
Before joining the federal government, Corinna was the Freedom of Information Director at The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press where she assisted journalists with legal issues.
She received her B.A. and J.D. from the University of Iowa. Corinna is the Vice President of the D.C. Open Government Coalition and also teaches a communication law class at American University.(Colombo Page)
