Tamil National Alliance Leader R.Sampanthan addressing a meeting to open a district party office in Trincomalee said that the present election is very crucial to us. It is going to be a milestone to find a political solution to the Tamil problem.
He appealed to the people to exercise their franchise in a manner to elect TNA with an overwhelming majority and vest it to explore ways to finding a political solution.
Sampanthan said that if Tamil people voted TNA to power with a large majority in the election following the defeat inflicted to the previous regime at the last Presidential Election, we can confidently say a political solution could be found by the year 2016. We are confident that the results of the current election can make an impact on the country and also on finding a political solution.
Trincomalee TNA candidate K. Thurairatnasingam, Eastern Province Education Minister S.Thandauthapany also addressed the meeting.
